Entry Level Aircraft Mechanic

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in repositioning aircraft.
2. Plug in ground power for aircraft prior to departure, provide assistance to flight crews during engine start and departure operations on the hangar ramp area.
3. After aircraft departure, secure GPU, extension cords, & wheel chocks.
4. Fuel hangar vehicles (tugs, Herman Nelson heaters, maintenance van, & portable generator).
5. Stock maintenance van as instructed by maintenance.
6. Perform periodic maintenance department equipment inspections.
7. Ensure hangar cleanliness.
8. Assist in maintaining current stock of expendable materials in hangar cabinets.
9. Complete MX Helper/Ramper duties checklist daily.

Requirements/Knowledge/Abilities:

1. Ability to work independently and organize workload; self-motivated.
2. Must have good communications ability and interpersonal skills.
3. Attention to detail is an absolute must.
4. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures.
5. Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings and weekends.
