Know the Baggage Rules
Our baggage rules and fees apply only when traveling on flights operated by PenAir. If your travel includes one of our airline partners or another airline you are traveling downline on, you may be subject to additional checked baggage restrictions or charges. Please see our Baggage Info section for complete baggage guidelines.
Each ticketed passenger is allowed one piece of carry-on baggage plus one personal item such as a purse, brief case or laptop computer. Unders seat space is limited to a small carry on item not to exceed 16"L x 16"W x 9"H. Baggage not meeting these specifications must be transported as checked baggage.
Each ticketed passenger is allowed two pieces of checked baggage. Each piece of checked baggage must weigh 50 pounds (23kg) or less and not exceed a maximum total linear dimension (length + width + height) of 62 inches (158 cm). View our Bag Fees page for more information regarding carry-on and checked baggage fees, rules, prohibited items, firearms, sporting equipment, and more.
Keep Valuables in Your Carry-On Baggage
Travelers should keep control of valuable or necessary items such as prescription medications, passports, cash, jewelry, cameras, business papers, film and other valuables and transport in your carry-on luggage.
Label All Baggage (checked and carry-on)
In case of separation between you and your bag(s), having a properly labeled bag(s) will assist in reuniting with your bag(s). Travelers should provide a clearly printed baggage tag on the outside of each piece of luggage. A label on the inside is also recommended. Tags should include name, address, permanent phone number and a phone number at the destination. Tags for the outside of your bags are available at the airport ticket counter.
Holiday & Peak Travel
Please note that during the holidays and peak travel volumes at various airports can be high, please allow extra time to arrive and check-in at your airport. Be sure to make reservations well in advance of travel, and to make pet travel arrangements well in advance.
